Magpies & Peacocks is the nation’s only 501(c)(3) nonprofit design house dedicated to transforming the fashion industry from the inside out. For 15 years, we’ve reclaimed waste textiles and turned them into locally-made, one-of-a-kind upcycled collections, proving creativity can drive real change.
Rooted in Creativity, Collaboration, Education, and Community Investment, our work reduces landfill waste while empowering people. Through our MAKR Collective workforce program, survivors of trauma and individuals from underserved communities gain hands-on training and pathways to employment in fashion and creative industries.
As we celebrate our 15th Anniversary, we’re raising funds to expand this work—deepening our impact and continuing to move the needle toward a fashion system that values people, planet, and possibility.
